"A New York Christmas," Rob Thomas (Atlantic)

robthoms.jpgThis song was released in 2002 to benefit Blythdale Children's Hospital in Westchester, N.Y. There were only radio promos and a brief window of time to download it back then. For 2003, it's a CD single, and it's still a benefit release. It's a nice uptempo contemporary rock tune a la matchbox twenty (surprise), and the verses are a bit reminiscent of "Feed the World." Thomas was also heard the same year on the title song from gospel star BeBe Winans' "My Christmas Prayer."
