A nice 2006 alt-folkish cover of the Mariah Carey song from this young singer-songwriter and actor who's big with the teen girl set. Don't let that status put you off; this is quite listenable and a cool counterpart to the original in the same way that Aztec Camera's folk-pop ballad version of "Jump" was to Van Halen's bombastic original. It's part of an EP, Snow Blankets the Night, that has several originals including "I Found an Angel," another Christmas tune. UPDATE: Can't find hide nor hair of this song or EP anywhere right now.
